Sunday Bible School
Our Sunday Bible School ministry includes five separate age-appropriate classes held each Sunday morning:
Early Childhood, Elementary, and Junior classes
Our Early Childhood (age 3 – Kindergarten), Elementary (Grades 1 – 3), and Junior (Grades 4 – 6) classes use the Generations of Grace curriculum. Generations of Grace takes a unified approach to curriculum organization. This means that each class learns from the same section of scripture at their own age level. We place an emphasis on at-home participation in the learning process, and the unified approach allows families with children in more than one class to discuss the material together at home.
The Youth class uses an ad-hoc curriculum plan tailored specifically to the needs of a dynamically-changing group of young people. Past studies have included:
The Blazing Center, a video series by John Piper with topics focusing on God’s glory and its relationship to our happiness.
The Reason for God by Timothy Keller. A book dealing with questions and objections our culture has regarding Biblical Christianity and the accompanying biblical answers.
Dug Down Deep by Joshua Harris. A book dealing with the importance of sound doctrine as well as an overview of the basic and essential doctrines of the church. Not just the knowing but also the living.
Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges, confronting the sins we tolerate.
We also do expositional Bible studies and in the past have studied the books of James and 1 and 2nd Peter to name a few.
One of the goals of the Youth Sunday Class is to assist parents in helping our youth answer the question “Why?” We desire to lead them into a deeper and fuller understanding of who they are, of who God is and how those 2 things relate. Namely, a fuller and deeper understanding of the gospel and its implications.
The Adult Sunday Bible School focuses on topical studies that are designed to allow attendees to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ under the absolute authority of the Word of God, the Bible.
We are currently studying the Doctrine of Biblical Time Periods; Past, Present, and Future.
